STAS says it initiated Newton Commercials split

In a statement, STAS has told ROADWAY that it sympathises with Newton
Commercials after their loss of the agency to sell STAS tipper and
ALUTRAILER moving floor trailers, but contrary to the recent comments
by Newton Commercials in the press, the key factor behind the split was
the need for STAS to be able to offer improved levels of Sales and
Service support for their existing customers and permit further
expansion of their sales activities in the UK/Eire.
STAS says that Newton Commercials had neither their own service division, nor the ability to expand sales coverage making it impossible for STAS to continue with their agency. In order to deliver the enhanced levels of customer satisfaction required in the immediate future, STAS had no other option but to terminate the existing agreement with Newton and to find new strong partners to support and carry forward their UK/Eire Sales and Service ambitions.
The statement reads: 'We have been in the trailer building business for more than 40 years. The founding family still owns 100% of the company and with the young second generation management team now taking the company forward, STAS aims to continue guaranteeing the future for its clients.
