Portable navigator easy to move between vans
Joining the range of portable navigation systems on the market is the Tungsten E2 Navigation Companion from palmOne (formerly Palm).
Using a Tungsten E2 handheld personal digital assistant, the Navigation Companion consists of a GPS pod, which includes a GPS receiver, loudspeaker, screen or dashboard mounting and docking station all in-one.
ViaMichelin navigation software and mapping is contained on an SD card, which slots into the Tungsten E2. The system uses the Windows Pocket PC operating system.
The Tungsten E2 fits into the GPS pod, providing touch-screen navigation and voice guidance. Address information can be called up from the contacts list on the Tungsten E2, or entered manually.
It is claimed that the equipment can be easily moved between vehicles. The Tungsten E2 Navigation Companion is priced at £299.
