American company Leyman opens UK operation to sell tail-lifts. Lifting capacities up to 1600kg
A company called Leyman Lift (UK) has been formed to handle the sales and marketing of Leyman Lift Gates in the UK.

Leyman Lift (UK) will market the steel platform LH, LHR, LLB, LHS and LLBS and the aluminum platform LHLP tail-lifts.

The LH, LHR and LLB models are heavy duty Tuckaway style tail-lifts, while the LHS and LLBS models are standard duty tail-lifts. Both are claimed to be low maintenance.

Available lifting capacities are 850, 1150, 1350 and 1600kg, with variants for low ride vehicles rated 850 and 1150kg. Platform dimensions include depths of 1828mm to 2032mm and widths of 737mm to 1016mm, which can accommodate vehicle floor heights between 914 mm (laden) and 1422 (unladen).

Both styles are supplied pre-assembled and come with a DfT-approved underrun bar. A two-handed control box is also standard.

Leyman LH, LHR, LLB, LHS and LLBS tail-lifts also feature a motor thermal protection switch and a 150 amp circuit breaker that can be reset. Optional equipment will include vehicle body internal controls, wanderlead controls, trailer wiring kits, a separate battery box and rubber dock bumpers.

The ultra lightweight alternative to the Leyman steel platform Hide-A-Way is the aluminium platform LHLP Hide-A-Way tail-lift. Featuring a high-capacity large aluminium platform, the LHLP also includes as standard equipment hydraulic leveling, an automatic tilt mechanism that it is claimed does not gouge the tarmac, and a power down capability. Standard foot operated roll stops add to the ease and usability of this tail-lift.

Suitable for truck and trailer applications, the LHLP is available with lifting capacities of 1150kg, 1600kg, 2000kg and 2500kg. Platform dimensions include depths from 1524mm to 1600mm and widths of 2032mm to 2184mm, which can accommodate vehicle floor heights between 1168mm (laden) and 1524mm (unladen).

In addition, a truly unique product, the Maintenance Minder3 (MM3) is also included as standard equipment with the LHLP lifts. The MM3 is installed inside the power pack enclosure and is capable of simultaneously storing all critical operating data, such as the number of low-voltage cycles, high motor temperature operations, number of lifts made and the total motor run time.

Through an automatic power cut-off and audible warning to the lift operator, the MM3 prevents equipment damage in low-voltage and high-temperature situations. The MM3 can also be programmed to alert the user when scheduled maintenance is due and even record when the work is completed.

A stock of Leyman lifts, spare parts and accessories will be held in the UK to provide an ex stock service to customers and agents.

In addition, a 24/365 breakdown service has been established to provide emergency field support to customers.
