New trailers for Target
Express delivery company, Target Express, has invested in 15 new Lawrence David single-deck semi-trailers adding to its existing fleet
Target Express says that the new trailers are further evidence of a
continued investment in the maintenance and growth of its fleet.
The new trailers will be used primarily on key customer accounts, allowing consignments to be loaded in site during the working day, further enhancing efficiency. The 12.5m single-deck trailers each have the capacity to accommodate 26 pallets and were delivered to Target's Coventry Hub this week.
Supplied by Autoease based in Bristol, the trailers have been delivered primed for immediate service as part of Target's domestic fleet. Each of the trailers arrived complete with the Target Express 'silver-service' livery, which is a finalist in this year's Motor Transport awards' best livery category.
Target says that continued investment in its fleet is also reflected in 18 Don-Bur double-decked trailers ordered for delivery later this year, upgrading the fleet by replacing existing trailers. Target's fleet now numbers almost 1000 vehicles and includes Mercedes Sprinter vans, 7.5-tonne trucks, 16-18 tonners, ‘Supercube’ trailers and straight-frame box trailers.
Petar Cvetkovic, Chief Executive Officer at Target Express commented,
'Our fleet is key to the Target Express operation, and we are committed to continued investment in our vehicles to ensure our customers receive the best and most reliable service. These 15 new trailers will enable us to grow and develop the service offered to both existing and potential customers.'
