Michelin wins £15 million tyre deal

Transrent, the UK commercial road transport and financial services group, has awarded global tyre manufacturer Michelin a five year supply deal worth an estimated £15M
Michelin will equip the Transrent rental trailer fleet with new and
replacement tyres for the next five years in a deal estimated to be
worth £15 million. The arrrangement is thought to be the longest
commitment given by a trailer rental company to a single tyre
manufacturer.
'Transrent is a natural fit for Michelin as there are strong similarities in the core values possessed by both organisations', says Russ Bowyer, Key Account Manager at Michelin. 'Equipment must be strong, durable and state-of-the-art, diversity of styles is essential, and there is a premium placed on monitoring and management. We believe our unique tyre portfolio can help Transrent respond best to the individual demands of its segmented audience.'
Karl Davies of Transrent said: 'The deal demonstrates the faith that both business have in each other and is a further example of our commitment to providing the most modern and technically advanced trailer rental fleet in the UK.
