Support for training in South Yorkshire

Many members are aware of the South Yorkshire Transport and Logistics Group (SYTAL), which includes operators, funding agencies and training providers as well as RHA.
The group has been particularly active in lobbying for more funding for training in the industry and a new scheme is likely to be available this autumn.
Details of the programme will be published soon, but it is expected to cover training of existing staff and to include wage subsidies to cover the cost of people attending courses. Watch this space!
